My Ecowitt PM 2.51 Air Quality monitor has started giving some very high readings. I presume since it is over 18 months old that this may mean I have to clean it. Is that possible?

I just cleaned one that contains a Plantower sensor that doesn't look like either of those shown on that WX forum post - it looks like Ecowitt use whatever they can get hold of/cheapest for each production run?

Ok plucked up the courage to take the sensor apart and now getting much more reasonable readings!!
