Hi Steve,
I'm not sure if this is a bug that has been introduced in a recent release of Cumulus, or whether the problem lies with the MetOffice WOW site.
Yesterday there was 0.2mm of rain caused by melting snow, which was recorded correctly by Cumulus. The MetOffice WOW site recorded this as 0.25mm of rain fall, which would be impressive if I had a gauge that accurate.
Could you pass your eyes over Cumulus to see if there is anything causing this to send an addition 0.05mm of rain?
My Cumulus site is http://oinky.net/weather and this link should take you to the table where the 0.25 was recorded yesterday

Re: Possible WOW (MetOffice) Rain upload error?
It's because the site requires rainfall to be uploaded in inches. So 0.2 mm is uploaded as 0.01 in, which it then converts back to 0.25 mm.
