Hi Steve,

I have just starting using 1.9.4 beta 1062 but after it has been running
for a while it throws up an error.

I have attached the debugreport.txt file within a zip file.

Hopefully this will help you see what's going wrong.

It's something to do with threading. I was also having crashes that were related to threading, and I noticed that I had "Extra Sensors" ticked in the station settings, even though I don't have any extra sensors. After I unticked that I haven't had any more crashes, and I was wondering if anyone else would see any. I still don't know what the cause is. Could you check to see if you have "Extra Sensors" ticked, please?

It seems that the 'Extra sensors' setting is a red herring. I've just noticed that I had a crash a couple of days ago. What happens is that only one thread crashes, so the rest of the application carries on as normal. It's only if it's a critical thread that you would notice, unless you see the error message on the the screen. Mine had been reading data and updating the web just fine, so I assumed all was OK. I've no idea what the crashed thread was.

Hopefully I'll be able to work out what the problem is, but thread problems are tricky.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I can confirm that I do NOT have "extra sensors" selected.

Also like you when the error appears Cumulus still carries on
working OK getting readings etc..

I have rebooted my server so will see how it behaves over night
and will let you know if I get an error again in the morning.

Hopefully a reboot will sort it out

I wouldn't bet on it, unfortunately. I wonder what we have in common that we're both hitting it, but apparently no-one else is? I think it's something to do with ftp updates (which do run in a separate thread) as all of mine have been a few seconds after the time of a web upload, as was yours, I think - 11:45:07.

I installed beta 1062 yesterday (17th) and also had the error a little time later.

I didn't notice right away because Cumulus was still updating to the web, all I did was to accept the option to close the application and then restarted Cumulus.

I have not had any problems since then which was well over 24 hours ago.

I've found a bug, which may well be the cause. Could you both please confirm that you upload to PWS Weather?

Just to let you know the reboot did not fix the problem, as this morning
I had an error again.

Just to confirm that it looks like the bug fix has definitely sorted
out the error. As Cumulus has been running fine overnight
without any errors.
