There is a great site called IFTTT.com that allow you to poll one app and update another app. Is there a way to poll (via RSS feed) the realtimeguages.txt file and have it update me?
I'm thinking that I'd like to know when my station hits an ambient 100 degrees, tweet this or every .05 inches of rain tweet or sms me or update my weather station facebook page with the total rainfall.
Could be a pretty powerful set of apps

Re: Extract for IFTTT
I don't know anything about it, but it looks to me like providing an RSS feed would be the easiest way to utilise this service.

Exactly, so how can I extract the data and which file of yours should I use?

Well none of them can be used directly, you could get Cumulus create an RSS feed file for you and then point this service at that file on your web site. An RSS file is just some text based XML - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSSFTBoomer wrote:Exactly, so how can I extract the data and which file of yours should I use?

Re: Extract for IFTTT
I don't think IFTTT.com is flexible enough to do anything with Cumulus data (or, looking at it another way, Cumulus isn't flexible enough to provide the right sort of data for IFTTT.com to work with). The RSS feed option will only trigger on a new item appearing, or on a keyword appearing in the feed. I can't see how you could do anything with that with Cumulus.
