There seems to be a known issue with USB support in VirtualBox: http://news.softpedia.com/news/How-to-F ... 1715.shtml

ya that page is what I followed, I successfully got USB to work for all my bits; printer, mouse, scanner etc.
Virtual box even recognized the Weather station as an 'unkown USB device', however when setting up cumulus theres no connection..
I cant see why cumulus wont connect if all my other usb devices connect so im doin sommit wrong somewhere as ive seen other people connect with no issues.

bloody nightmare I only ran windows because of Cumulus and I hate the OS. Ive currently got my crappy 10 yr old laptop as a dedicated Cumulus machine so anyone saying that it eats resources must be on some good drugs lol

If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I can have a look to see if it's anything obvious.

I tried VB in Ubuntu some time ago with XP and Cumulus. Got USB working but strangely, couldn't get web upload to work.

Glad you got yours working :) Congratulations :)
Gina

Sorry, no banner - weather station out of action. Hoping to be up and running with a new home-made one soon.
