WMR 928 beep too loud
Is it possible to turn the beep down when pressing the screen on the Oregon WMR928? It is too L O U D

There is no adjustment. I have read that some have packed various materials around the "beeper" or taped it up. Perhaps a resistor across the terminals. I simply clipped one wire and haven't heard a "beep" since or missed it.
