Scratching my head....

Post by rp4111 »

I decided to do a bit of work on my website tonight. Edited my indexT.htm in my HTML editor. Uploaded it to the website and it showed up on the page. I refreshed the page about 10 min later and all my work is missing  . The indexT.htm file still shows all the new code I put in but it won't show to the website anymore. Suggestions?

edit: forgot to mention the work I had done was added a new item to the menu bar at the top (realtime.htm) and added a weather sticker at the bottom of the page.

Why have you uploaded indexT.htm to your web site ? (It is there)

It should in on your PC in the {whereever Cumulus is}\web\ directory.

I'm thinking you have edited a copy which isn't in that directory ?
That is the file that Cumulus processes and then copies upto the web.

You don't upload the changed template file to your website.

You update it on your Cumulus workstation and when it sends the parsed version of the website to your remote website it will have the new code in it.

Thanks. That's where I went wrong. I hadn't worked on it in so long I forgot exactly what I did. I was uploading the indexT.htm on my FTP to overwrite the old one. I seemed to have screwed something up doing that and now my banner isn't showing on the top of the page.
