Interesting... while I was monitoring both CU1 and CMX which started with CU1 Sun button yellow, and then after a while it turned and stayed grey, and then later it was yellow again. Looking at my http://www.komokaweather.com/cumulusmx/index.html Overview > Solar shows the period that it was not recording sunshine. From a dull morning to good sunshine at about 12:30 and quickly drop for an hours and back up again. The wonders of graphs!

Enjoy,
Paul

Paul, the hours increment every minute, but by default the web tag displays to one decimal place of an hour, which of course is 6 minutes. You can increase the decimals to two in the tag if you want to see 1-minute increments.

re: CumulusMX webtag <#IsSunny> RESOLVED and Ecowit solar sensor calibrated

Post by lse-cumulus »

final feedback:
I re-calibrated my Ecowitt WS90 solar sensor in the Ecowitt app and webserver app of GW2000. I changed radiation gain back from 0.78 to 1.0. I now also remember that I did this reduction a couple of months ago when AWEKAS admin informed me that my UV index readings were too high. Should have modfied only the UV index gain and not also the radiation gain.
I only sligthly reduced the CU station seetings - Solar to treshhold of 70% and minimum of 20 W/m2.
Yesterday we had a sunnier day and the Recent Solar chart was showing an improved curve in the chart.
I will wait for a real perfect sunny day to make a fine tuning.
CU Webtag #IsSunny is working fine, and I now understand how it is calculated thx to your input.
