Hello everyone, we are building a urban weather station network at city level to monitor extreme events such as heatwaves and heavy precipitation.
I am neophite of Cumulus but I am excited to discover its capabilities and opportunities. Many thanks to the developer and to the whole community.
I am trying to connect different Vantage PRO2 via Davis WeatherLink Cloud; I got the list of different VP2 by my davis account and set one specific ID. I would connect the actual 5 VP2 on latest Cumulus MX (3.28.3 build 3280) but it seems it is not feasible.
Another idea is perhaps to run different Cumulus MX on the same pc, but it is not working even if download and unzipped in different folders.
Is there any possibility to connect different VP2 by using Cumulus MX?
Thanks in advance,
Salvatore

Hi Salvatore, and welcome to Cumulus and the forum.
Enjoy,
Paul
Yes! I currently run 4 versions on the same Windows PC. You just need to have each in their separate folder, and run CumulusMX\CumulusMX.exe -port 899x where x is any number,Is there any possibility to connect different VP2 by using Cumulus MX?
There are several methods of connection CMX to the Davis as shown in the Station settings > General Settings > Station Type:I am trying to connect different Vantage PRO2 via Davis WeatherLink Cloud;
Enjoy,
Paul

Make sure also that Program Settings > General Options > Stop Second Instance is unticked.

Re: Multiple VP2 via WL Cloud
I would leave it checked, it only applies to a second instance on the same port.
