I've attached the logfile.

Hi,
Thanks for the WL.com link and barometer is displaying there.

A couple of things in MXDiags:

Code: Select all

2024-01-03 17:26:59.784 LoadDayFile: Attempting to load the day file
2024-01-03 17:26:59.788 LoadDayFile: Error at line 1 of data/dayfile.txt : Value cannot be null. Parameter name: input
2024-01-03 17:26:59.788 Please edit the file to correct the error
2024-01-03 17:26:59.790 LoadDayFile: Dayfile parse = 4 ms
2024-01-03 17:26:59.790 LoadDayFile: Loaded 0 entries to recent daily data list
You should use the Dayfile / View editor and correct that line 1.

Code: Select all

2024-01-03 17:27:01.250 WLLStations: - Cumulus log interval 5 does not match this WeatherLink stations log interval 15
You indicate you have a WL.com Pro account and have you set the log interval to 5-minutes in WL.com? The default usually is 15 minutes which is the interval for the free account, but with a Pro account you can change it to 5 minutes (1-minute with the Pro + account).

Possibly Mark can read more from the MXdiags re your pressure not displaying.

Enjoy,
Paul

I started a new weather station yesterday so no data was present yet. Since no file was present I just created it empty for convenience.

Thanks for the tip. I made the change through the console so that an update is done every 5 minutes.

Thanks for the tip. I made the change through the console so that an update is done every 5 minutes.
The update is one matter, but I think the Weatherlink.com logging interval is separate.
In weatherlink.com go to settings (click on wrench icon) > device > device configuration > Edit Settings > in "Archive Rate" box select "5 minutes". Your data will then be "logged" in 5 minute increments at weatherlink.com and CumulusMX can then get data at 5 minute interval both in the archive catch-up at a CMX restart, and in normal running if you have selected Davis Weatherlink Cloud (WLL/WLC) as station type.

Enjoy,
Paul

The only options I have online is Health Data & Device Info. There's no option "edit" I was able to edit this is on the console itself.

From the manual;

GENERAL CONSOLE SETTINGS
1. On this screen, you can change your Local Archive Rate from the default of 5 minutes to 1 minute, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes.

Hi,
Maybe the Weatherlink.com site for Weatherlink Console is different but find it odd that you cannot set the archival logging interval. Are you able to view your data and charts in weatherlink.com and are those at 15 minutes or at 5 minute intervals?

I have a WL.com account updated by WL IP logger and this is usually Basic, and also an account updated by WLL and this is usually with my Pro subscription. With the basic free there is no option for setting archival and likely because it is fixed at 15 minutes. With the Pro subscription there are setting options, including the archival logging. And with my Pro subscription I can inter change it between the two, so can set the WL IP logger account to 5 minutes as long as it is using the Pro, and during that time the other account has defaulted to 15 minutes.

Enjoy,
Paul

Hi Paul,

i just put on the weatherlink live. And this one does have the option as you described. I hope the pictures show what I mean

Here you can now see that I have two devices registered. One through the Console and the other through Weatherlink Live. The device I registered through the console does not have the options you mean

Hi Stiglan
Here you can now see that I have two devices registered. One through the Console and the other through Weatherlink Live.
I have visited both your devices on WL.com but can only see them as a "basic" tier unless you "Share" with me .
The device I registered through the console does not have the options you mean
And this has been selected by you with the Pro subscription?

Now with the WLL you don't need CMX to connect through the Cloud as you can do that directly using the Weatherlink Live station type, which is both live data, and also archived data when you stop and restart CMX. Hopefully this will resolve your pressure issue otherwise further diagnostics needed.

Enjoy,
Paul

Couple of footnotes maybe to help interpret future posts:

Any Davis station in the 62x2/3 series, like 6242 (Vue) and 6252/3 (VP2) and 6262/3 (VP2 Plus) will automatically have the new 6313 console. These are now the standard Davis complete stations and the old 6250 (Vue) and 6152/3 & 6162/3 VP2 stations are now discontinued (other than residual stock already in the supply chain).

Unlike the 6100 Weatherlink Live, the 6313 console seems currently unable to receive instructions from weatherlink.com, so there is no way that settings made in the weatherlink.com interface can be reflected down to the 6313 console. Very possibly this will change in future as the 6313 firmware evolves further, but is the situation at present.

It is safest to assume that each distinct upload device to weatherlink device (of which there are 7 Davis types now by my count: WLL; 6313 console; Weatherlink local software; WeatherlinkIP; Connect; EM Gateway; EM IP Gateway) has its own set of features at weatherlink.com, which are not automatically shared by other upload devices. Third-party upload devices like WiFi Logger and Meteobridge will tend to mimic one or other of these types. The most comprehensive features seem to be offered by 6100 WLL; in particular, be wary of assuming that WLL features are automatically available to any other types of upload device.
