Hi all,
I am still getting these errors, even with real time interval uptime time set at 60 seconds. At the moment I get about four in an hour.

2023-07-12 19:50:29.473 PHP[57]: Error uploading to realtime.txt
2023-07-12 19:50:29.473 PHP[57]: Error uploading to realtime.txt - Exception Type: System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException
Message: An error occurred while sending the request.
Inner Exception...
Exception Type: System.Net.WebException
Message: The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel.

Maybe they have not updated my server yet. I have not received an email from them either.
Mike

Hi Mike

Did you send HostPresto a support ticket? For me it took two goes before they reset my account.

All seems to be fine now..until the next time.

Hi Andy,
Good morning to you.

Thank you for your very informative message.

I have messaged Hostpresto twice, the first time in April, but as with the latest message they continually ask, ""where are the errors coming from?""
I have already explained that the errors come from the Cumulus MX software. They have asked me to replicate the errors, which of course I cannot do because they just appear.

Did they ask you this question? My concern is that they will blame Cumulus and say it is not their problem.

Many Thanks

Kindest regards
Mike

Hi Mike

When I sent my support ticket I copied the faulting section showing up in MXDiags as per the following and that seemed to do the trick

"I am getting the following error on MXDiags log

Inner Exception...
Exception Type: System.ObjectDisposedException
Message: Cannot access a disposed object.
Object name: 'MobileAuthenticatedStream'."

I assume that you can extract a similar group of lines from your error log and send it of to HostPresto. I have to say that once they get on the case they are quite helpful.

No idea what Hostpresto changed, but I haven't had a single PHP upload error in the 36 hours it's been back running.

Hello all,
My SSL/TLS secure channel Errors are still happening.

I have got in touch with Hostpresto, and they have passed the issue over to 2nd Line Support.

I have just had a reply from 2nd Line Support and this is what he said.

Good Afternoon Michael,

Interesting one.

The error would indicate the application cannot find a suitable TLS protocol to perform a handshake with.

What does this software/app connect to / from? Do you have any documentation I can take a look at?

Let me know, thanks.

Giles

So does anybody know what I should send to him?
Mike

When running under Windows, MX uses whatever TLS protocols are enabled on your system. For Windows 11 that should be TLS 1.3, 1.2, 1.1, and 1.0.

It will try and negotiate each in turn in that order. See: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windo ... windows-11

My website went down overnight. HostPresto advised I may need to change my IP Address on 123 - the site where I bought my domain name.

I’ve done that and now it’s visible but cumulus fails when running a web update. FTP Error 500.

Can anyone advise if I need to change anything in cumulus please? In Internet Settings I have a host name of cp162175.hpdns.net using port 21.

Does that need to change and if so how do I find out what to change it to?
Cheers,
Ray, Cheshire.

My shared hosting is down again. Getting fed up with Hostpresto now.

They don't even offer any good will gestures if problems linger. I didn't even get an apology when it was down for over 24 hours.

Of course.

They take hours to reply sometimes.

I think I'm going to look for another hosting company, far too many problems going on with this one.

Interesting. I got a reply to tell me that ModSecurity had blocked me, and that they have removed the block.

Well, it's still not working for me.

A lot of customers must have also been blocked?!

Yes I also got the ModSecurity block email and still nothing is working!

Had you got anywhere in mind to transfer your hosting?
