Cumulus 1 patch instruction request

Post by Johnny basement »

I see there is a
Cumulus 1.9.4 build 1099.2 patch Patched version of Cumulus.exe, allows date entries on NOAA reports and Snow Index up to the year 2030 patch for download. I have downloaded and unzipped the .exe file.
What do I do next?
Many thanks.

Replace the existing .exe file with the one you have downloaded. I recommend moving the existing .exe to a safe location rather than deleting it - just in case you have an issue with the patched .exe file. You need to do this while Cumulus is not running.

Have you considered upgrading to Cumulus MX? Cumulus 1 is no longer being developed, whereas MX is having new features added regularly.

Great, I have done that and it works fine- thanks.

I have just purchased a Raspberry Pi, with the intention of switching over to Cumulus MX. I want to familarise myself with the Pi first.
