YawCam help please?

Hello

I am not getting much joy from the yawcam support, so will ask here :)

I have been using it for a few weeks now and it works perfectly and I LOVE the overlay, but for no reason I get major corruption like the attached.
but using the link from the ucam247 itself there is no problem at all, so it must be the yawcam software. Plus I have tested one or 2 others and they don't have the corruption at the time yawcam does.

Any idea please? or any other software suggestions, that can have a similar overlay as yawcam?

At a guess, I would say codec issue.
Have you installed a program that altered the system codecs???

How often does the image refresh????
Its almost like the image hasn't loaded fully and its attempting to load the next one.

When I look at it, it alternates between the clear picture and the garbled every second or two at what appears to be the update interval.

it works fine via the live feed from the camera itself. Really annoying me now.

Anyone recommend some other software please? that I can put a sleek overlay on from cumulus? I don't mind paying for it

Cheers
Mark

To me it looks like interference with bursts of data.
Is your weather station a wireless one by chance?
I'd try wrapping the cables to/from the camera through some toroidal chokes.

it is wireless.. that is a great idea, would never have thought about it. I just ordered some ferrite cylinders. Thank you!

tried it on a other PC, same issue. I try some other software and again it is fine. Just appears to be YawCam which is odd..

hmm odd, I played about with the ferrite cylinders, rebooted every thing and days later it hasn't happened again. So thank you :)

and the problem is back and goes away for an hour after I reboot everything. No other software does this, just yawcam. using the /live/1/mjpeg.jpg feed.

I lust love the overlay this provides.. well I guess that is tough cheese :(

On YawCam have you tried other 'Format Control' settings such as color 'Space/Compression' and 'Output size.' Try various combinations - first to render an image and then to stabilize output.
Try them all - one may please both YawCam and the Cam at the same time.
