Home Weather Station - New Android App
I've been working on making an Android app to view the data generated by Cumulus.
URL: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... omeweather
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azfAw1BPft4
Features:
- Input your own weather station URL (realtime.txt file required)
- All information displayed is from the realtime.txt file and images
- Simple UI
- App is separated into Now, Today, Trends, All Info (very similar to the website)
Work is still being doing on the application. I released it early to let the public try it. Minimum Android Version required to tun it is 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
Please reply with comments, questions, issues, or anything related to the app.
If you like the app please leave a rating on the Google Play store. If you are having problems please post here to give me a chance to get everything working.

Looks good on my tablet. On the trends page, I get the headings but no graphs.

Hmmmmm....I get nothing but "false" & "null" values on Android 4.2.2 on Galaxy Nexus.
Address: http://www.kpw3.com
Nice looking interface, though.

Re: Home Weather Station - New Android App
OK, my mistake. Now partially working.
If you don't enter the trailing / in the URL, i.e. http://www.kpw3.com/ the app never sends the HTTP GET call. Found this by watching my Apache access_log.
The "Trends" page only displays the headings--nothing else.

Re: Home Weather Station - New Android App
I now see why I get nothing on the "Trends" page.
Here's the http call:
[27/Jan/2014:12:29:48 -0500] "GET /wind.png HTTP/1.1" 404 206 "-" "Dalvik/1.6.0 (Linux; U; Android 4.2.2; Galaxy Nexus Build/JDQ39)"
But all of my Cumulus generated graphics are in /images not /.
If I copy wind.png to / on my server I can see the graphic displayed on the Trends page.
Not sure where most people store these images.

Re: Home Weather Station - New Android App
I just fixed the problem and sent in an update to the Play Store. I tested with all 3 of the weather stations posted and it worked now.
It should be available to download in the next few hours.

Re: Home Weather Station - New Android App
I like it - apart from the ads of course.
I did have to make a change to Cumulus to provide the realtime.txt file as it's not normally unloaded on my system
