Hi Neil

Great work on the latest releases!

Would you consider adding in a full dark theme to the AICMX?

Hi

It is actually next on my agenda. In order to implement it I am going to be making some style changes to the default system as well as looking at properly implementing flex boxes and trying to get my head around accessibility. The dark mode is likely to be released first as it is relatively simple. The others may take some time.

Hi all

I would like to announce the release of the AI2. This is a completely reworked version of the original AI with added features which primarily include:

Dark Mode: All themes now come with a Dark Mode variant that can be selected using AI Settings. Warning - some are good in light mode but not in dark mode and vice versa. Please also not that these themes style sheets will NOT work with the default public website - yet.
Accessibility: I have tried to add more accessibility features but do not believe they are complete - any comments/advice welcome.
Flexibility: Any page that displays panels now uses flex boxes more effectively. You can re-order the panels simply by changing the order style included where appropriate.
Tables: Where tables have to be used, they will now scroll sideways on smaller screens to avoid reducing the font. I have also made sure that readings with units do not wrap.

You can download the new AI2 below.

Enjoy

Installed this and had a play. I have to say Neil I thought the previous version was good but this is an impressive upgrade.

Congratulations and thank you for your hard work.

Hi all

Sorry to do this but noticed some issues - monthly reports month showing as number and improved the data logs table sideways scrolling.

Great work Neil!

I have found some issues:

Text too far right: https://ibb.co/3c6wsp6

Hidden text: https://ibb.co/LDyyqyj | https://ibb.co/cFn8m1D

https://ibb.co/VN2bryx

Also, graph tooltips have a black bar

https://ibb.co/JyBCzdz

Out of interest, is that the correct font? I just compared it to the old template, and the font is almost twice the size.

I assume this is using a screen reader! Not sure what I can do but I will certainly have a look. Thanks for letting me know.

Screen reader?

I just used print screen on the pages to show what I see.

Monthly NOAA reports not working for me either, Yearly is OK:

https://ibb.co/wzTmtwV

I fixed the text being cut off

font-size: 1.6vh; in ai-styles.css

I had to change it to 1.2vh, 1.6vh was too large on my screen (32")

Although some text is still far too big, but that belongs to other page styles.

Hi

I know there is an issue with some themes and the buttons you have shown. I suggest you use a different theme. If you let me know which theme it is I can take a look at the settings. With regards to the text cut off, I cannot reproduce that on any browser that I have tested. Can I ask what device you are using as it is possible that this is just a glitch with that.

How are the NOAA reports not working? Is it a colour scheme issue again or is there something else.

Neil.

Theme was basic grey.

I'm just using my Windows 11 machine with a 2k 32" screen.

I fixed most of the text issues, that's down to the font being set to big in ai-styles.css.

But there is still larger than normal text for some parts, particularly the gauges header. The overall text is way larger than the previous ai version, for me at least.

Regarding the NOAA monthly data not showing; works fine on the old ai, but not on the new one.

There must be something wrong, as at the top of the page it shows this:
