Firts results about 2 degrees lower in full sun fan rotates fine, hope to get some more of when it's painted white

Today the sun was shining. The solar aspirated elbow of my DIY radiation shield is now kept indoors to protect the parts from humidity, until March the sun will not shine on the shield. (I replaced the active elbow with a passive one)
So it was easy do perform an indoor test. I wondered how fast the fan would run with only a faint winter sun.
The test, with help from Frosty:
The baseline, without running fan:
With running fan (fast shutter speed, you can't see the fan running):
So this design really sucks!
And thanks to Frosty:

I have a question about the this fan model. Can you separate the sun celule from the fan itself ? does it have enough cable in order to fit the celule about 20 cm from the fan?
I would appreciate your answers

The cable between fan and panel is very short, and thin. You have to cut it, and extend it by soldering some extra cable to it.
(After cutting the wire, the fan can be shifted off from the clip).

Here is my implementation of a solar powers aspirated Stevenson Screen using an Ultra Fab Mini Solar Plumbing Vent and 4" PVC pipe.

This winter I did not remove the aspirated part, and the solar fan still works.
However, the fan is only running when the sun is shining. By design because there is no buffering of energy.
Recently I found this post about a solar module of an Ikea product: http://www.instructables.com/id/Easy-IK ... structive/
Looks like an easy and affordable way to have a small fan running 24 hours.
Results after a few weeks. Have to purchase it first ...

Hi Henk my solarfan is still working even aftre lots of snow in winter 2012/2013 it has survived a lot of rain too more as 1000 mm I think and temperatures from -15 to +35 Chenkg wrote:

I do indeed mis the fan in the evening/night an morning a sort of accu should be great . I wonder if the Ikea thing will give power to the fan for 24 hours because I dont know the voltage an powerconsumption of the 'China fan'.
