NOAA links to many buoys do have recent report data.
My buoys page: http://cheesewhiz.dyndns.org/buoys.php (debugging is enabled)
Example: Buoy BRHC3, Bridgeport, CT on my page says "No recent data"
But clicking the link shows that it does have data. Here: http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.p ... HC3&unit=E
Perhaps NOAA has changed their data format on some pages?
Oh, and please ignore the misalignment of the buoys for the moment!
Any thoughts would be welcome.
Thanks,
--Kurt

Re: Buoy data page reports "No Recent Reports" but....
Hi Kurt,
I see your page has some buoys with data
If you look at http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/radial_search. ... t=A&time=2 (the query
used by the script, based on your configuration), you'll see that it is a sparse set of buoys reporting since you're using a 200 nautical mile radius from your lat/long for the query.
Changing to 800 miles with http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/radial_search. ... t=A&time=2
gets a lot more buoys in the search radius and can populate your map/table better
Best regards,
Ken

Re: Buoy data page reports "No Recent Reports" but....
Thanks, Ken.
So bottom line, I just should have realized some of these buoys were over 200 nautical miles away from me...
I've set the control file to 400 NM distance and now things are looking better...go figure....lol.
Thanks for your always amazingly fast response.
