Re installation Cumulus with Technoline WS2350.
Technoline WS 2350 = either re-badged Lacrosse 2350 or Lacrosse WS2310.
I have successfully installed Cumulus and followed the excellent instructions as closely as I can.
My problem : When I open page, " My Weather" the weather info. from my weather station does not appear. The page stays inactive.
I have a trial version of, " Weather Display Version 10.37 Trial WS 2310" installed which works perfectly. I just do not like the programme; very user unfriendly.I also have a programme from "Heavy Weather" which again works perfectly but is very limited in what it will do.
I run Windows XP and connect the weather station to the computer port.Plenty of memory.
I would be grateful for help.

If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look. But there's very little that can wrong from a configuration point of view, just select WS2300 for the station type and choose the correct COM port. And clearly you know which is the correct COM port as you have other software working. Hopefully someone else with a La Crosse may be able to offer some advice.

Re: Re installation Cumulus with Technoline WS2350.
Make sure you have only have one program running at the same time, a second program can't access the station if connected to another program.
So when you got Cumulus running it does not update the display, if it does not update it seems to not be getting the data from the station.
Make sure you got 'use data logger' ticked so that it downloads the data while not connected to the software if you wish to.
The diags folder is in the Cumulus installation such as C:\Cumulus\Diags.
It should work if you got the right com port and the correct station selected, like Steve said.
Hope that helps.

Re: Re installation Cumulus with Technoline WS2350.
Thank you very much for reply from Matt. I understand your points except I cannot find relevant installation file to tick "Use data logger". I have tried, Run and searching for the file. I get 9 files with vast amounts of info.on each.
I also need to find this file to send a copy to Steve.

'Use data logger' is a option in the cumulus program itself,in the station configuration screen. Just tick that and it will download from the logger at start up.
The diags files are in a folder called diags, in your Cumulus installation in a folder called Cumlulus. Those folder with the info you found and is the diags folder that Steve needs.

Re: Re installation Cumulus with Technoline WS2350.
Cumulus diags is a set of plain text files with information on what Cumulus does so that Steve can see the problem.
They are in a folder called diags in the installation folder of Cumulus in say C drive, or you might have it elsewhere.
Do you know where you got Cumulus installed. Maybe do a search in windows explorer.
Have a look at the "Please click here before posting" at the top of the forum as Steve said. That will tell you how to find and attach the diags.

Re: Re installation Cumulus with Technoline WS2350.
Matt many thanks again for your advice.I have managed to find the file by going to "Run". Sorry, after much effort I still haven't been able to send it on the Forum as requested but I did manage to send it by email. When I clicked, "Choose File" underneath the message box I couldn't get the right file to appear! Thanks again lets hope we 're getting there.

Glad your getting somewhere. After you find the file under browse, you then press the 'add the file' button and the file name appears to show it have been attached.

Re: Re installation Cumulus with Technoline WS2350.
Matt, Many thanks again for your efforts to help. My first stumbling block is the first instruction, "Open Cumulus installation folder" It`s obviously there but I cannot find it on my computer. I have found the diags folder but try as I might I just cannot include it as an attachment in spite of following all the instructions.
Very reluctantly I think I am forced to call it a day. It`s a shame because Cumulus looks a super piece of software.
I wish you well and happy weather watching.
With kind regards.

Re: Re installation Cumulus with Technoline WS2350.
If you wish, just open 'My Computer' and search for Cumulus.
And from the results you can find the diags folder in that Cumulus folder you found in the search.
Hope you may solve this, as hard as it is.
