Re: Best places for weather station
Do you mean trellising ?
... and why is it there ?
For all of us positioning is a 'local environment' thing.
Lots of posts on what people have done / experimenting with - even a couple that give you unachievable / not underderstable guidelines from met offices various.
First thing to understand is that all your kit shouldn't be in one cluster (that includes Davis)
Wind gear, 30 feet / 10m up in the clear or at least 4m above your roof / local obstructions/
Thermohygro - approx 5 feet / 1.5m above grass, in the shade ('old' head height)
Rain-bucket - approx 20 inches / 500mm above ground level to avoid splatter and wind shear, also reasonably shaded by wind.
This is why we 'play' with the kit we have

Re: Best places for weather station
For some of ours, siting a Weather Station in a urban environment maybe a nightmare...

John Dann also has some excellent advice on siting sensors: http://weatherstations.co.uk/gooddata.htm
