CMXv4 Memory usage

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

So far I had not participated in the memory investigation but I never seemed to have an issue here but here is mine.
The system spec is here.
Note my definition of the swap file.
[EDIT] changed the image to include the header
[EDIT} and yes, I use PHP uploads

Ive no moved to Ubuntu 24.04 Server LTS on my CumulusMX install.

    VIRT: 262G
    RES: 872M
    SHR: 100M

    22.04 was:

    VIRT: 4959M
    RES: 219M
    SHR: 104M

though with 16gb of ram the usage is minimal.

I run MX in a Ubuntu 22.04 LXC (container). No issues with memory usage. I don't use PHP (or FTP) uploads - everything goes into a database, with a few local copies (moon image, etc.). Here's my htop screen:

Mark: I am using PHP upload to local webserver (another RPi) for all three instances

EDIT to add screen shot of all processes associated with my CMX installation - lots of processes here!

The highest value I've seen for a few hours is ~65MB.

    It's very, very good.
