URL for specific Cumulusutils view
I've done some searching and looked in the Wiki but can't see an answer to this question. So, I suspect it might not be something that can be done, but I'll ask just in case!
Is there a way to create a URL that points to a specific Cumulusutils view? For example, I'd like to give my family a link to directly look at the forecast view without having to open the main page and then select a couple of menu items to get to the forecast.

Go to the page you wish them to use. Right click on the window. Select Share. When the window pops up select Copy Link.
Paste that link into the email or whatever you are using to share the link and send it to them. If they click on the link it will take them directly to the page.
Works with most browsers.

Re: URL for specific Cumulusutils view
If I share the page I just get the URL of the site with no reference to the view that's selected. What more do you see in a URL if you share yours?

Re: URL for specific Cumulusutils view
CumulusUtils does not work that way as it has only one page, the rest is javascript.water01 wrote: ↑Thu 28 Dec 2023 12:34 pm Go to the page you wish them to use. Right click on the window. Select Share. When the window pops up select Copy Link.

That is currently not possible. I'll look into it on how to realise that.packman2008 wrote: ↑Thu 28 Dec 2023 11:48 am I've done some searching and looked in the Wiki but can't see an answer to this question. So, I suspect it might not be something that can be done, but I'll ask just in case!

Re: URL for specific Cumulusutils view
I suspected it wasn't. Thanks for confirming that. If you can find a way to get deep links into the site that would be greatThat is currently not possible. I'll look into it on how to realise that.

Re: URL for specific Cumulusutils view
Yes, but currently working on some other things so don't expect something quick.
Another question: are you on the user map and if so which site is it (would appreciate the link in the map info)?

Re: URL for specific Cumulusutils view
Hmmm, my marker is on the user map but it doesn't contain the link to my website. I must have missed that setting in the configuration. I'll investigate when I'm back on my laptop with access to my CMX server.

Parameter Website in the section [Maps].packman2008 wrote: ↑Sun 07 Jan 2024 3:00 am Hmmm, my marker is on the user map but it doesn't contain the link to my website. I must have missed that setting in the configuration. I'll investigate when I'm back on my laptop with access to my CMX server.
Just give as value your URL (preferably http or https included) to the site and things will show after some time (a minute to one day depending on the moment of sending of the signature file which is done once per day)

Thnx (it will update at roughly 03:00 hrs ).
Btw: do you know who that Great Urswick user is, just North of you?
He uses the site but misses some config and does not communicate.

Re: URL for specific Cumulusutils view
Hi Chris,
The URL feature is implemented in v7.0.0 and will be available when CMX v4 is released (currently in closed beta).
You can see it operate in the NET8 beta as in signature.
You may comment.
