CMX is crashing on it own!!

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Hi, maybe you also have in your system logs a "System.OutOfMemoryException" or something similar?

viewtopic.php?p=173344

It continues to happen sporadically to me. I keep using Monit to restart the program automatically.

You'd think there has to be some sort of error message somewhere.
Nothing at all in the syslog? or daemon.log? or messages? or even the journal?

I took a look at the MXdiags you uploaded on 26/01/2024. There is no crash in that file. There are some stack traces relating to a (very) temporary problem with an HTTP connection being used by PHP uploads. Looking at your realtime cadence, it appears to be a 1 second interval. To have a single HTTP connection problem in a log file covering 1 hour and 20 minutes when using a 1 second interval is not an issue.

We need to be careful with terminology - a "crash" would involve MX stopping or becoming unresponsive; this is just a very fleeting error. I wouldn't roll back for that.

There's nothing in there to indicate a crash. There's an error with sending mail from /home/cmx/script/cmx-check.sh, but nothing involving mono or the CumulusMX application.

Do you see anything else in your MXdiags files? There is a sequence of log messages when you restart, but there was nothing like that in the diags file that you supplied.
