Thanks Simon. I don't know why the gauges are not working, all box's are ticked.
Re: the Noaa reports, those too are ticked, maybe have to wait for the daily rollover? There's a Reports folder on the server but its empty yet

your reports are working now.

as to the gauges, have you uploaded all the contents of the webfiles folder(in CumulusMX zip file) to your website? maybe a missing file or two perhaps.

Thanks Simon.

That's what I was thinking, maybe some files missing from the server. I'll have to go through them one by one.

A part of the problem I think is issues with vodafone, my ISP. Even though I have 50+ upload and download, I'm having a lot of issues lately with pages timing out, especially if trying to make payments. There could have resulted in failed file transfers at the beginning. This could also be the reason why the website doesn't update every 15mins, the connection (handshake?) could be timing out. On filezilla it times out at 20sec I've noticed.

Thanks again everyone for all your help, I'm sure it must get monotonous when someone new is in bother asking the same or similar questions. I'd done lots of reading up on all the wiki's and relevant threads beforehand. I think sometimes there is too much info and I got fierce confused :!:

I went ahead last night and purchased an Airlink to add to my arsenal :D That was an ordeal in itself with said issues with payments timing out! (I got a good deal from a company in Spain, €236 delivered).

timeouts sound like issues with broadband, ,more likely packet loss.

I went through all the directories (I think) and replaced the missing files. The graphs seems to be working now but the gauges still are not working. I'll have to look through it again. When uploading first, I just took note of the file names, not file sizes!

Hi,
Doing a [F12] on your site gives a

Code: Select all

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ()
When updating it is highly recommended to do a full install (over existing) of the new version. And depending how old your remote webfiles are, also do a full new update of the \CumulusMX\webfiles folder content to your remote.

Enjoy,
Paul

Thanks Paul.

I rebooted my router here last night ( I find it helps with slow connections sometimes) and my website now seems to update every 15mins as it should. The gauges page though is still not working for some reason, and I think all files are correct. I've gone through them twice.

Hi Mick,

Your sunrise and sunset times are much earlier than mine in Cheshire. 07:41 versus 08:22 and 15:24 versus 16:08.

Day Length is only 3 mins difference but the difference in times is odd.
Cheers,
Ray, Cheshire.

From Mick's website:
Lat: N 53° 33' 36" Long: E 08° 34' 12"

I think Long should be W not E.

Finally finally finally got the gauges page working!

Checked and double checked every folder but couldn't see any files missing. After going away from the laptop for a few hours, must have cleared the fog from me eyes! There was 2 files missing in the src directory.
