I paid about the same including carriage from a big WX equipment dealer on ebay for my WH1080.
I'm wondering what the difference is between the 1080 and the 1081.
Anyone know; they are both on 868Mhz.

I've got that black Maplin one; it doesn't have the DCF clock, I think the difference is that the other one does.

On the back of mine, it claims it's 433.9Mhz.

The WH1080 has the DFC clock, perhaps that is the only difference between 1080 and 1081.
Looking at the picture on the Maplin site it shows all the data but not the little aerial logo in the bottom left hand corner of the display.

Mine's certainly on 868Mhz, a WH1080.

Is maplin the only store who sells WH1081?

Anyway does it have a data logger? How would you compare it to lacrosse ws2350, for what I can read in the spec it seems better and cheaper that makes me regret of buying a WS2350 :(

Hi Sandro, good to see you on here!

Anyway I'm getting one of these weather stations for my sister/brother in law for Christmas, probably going to buy it later today. As far as I know, it does not have an in-built data logger, which is a shame as in every other respect it seems a brilliant weather station for the price.

I will let you know how it performs when they use it at Christmas!

Hey you! :D
Maybe this one sold here doesn't (WH1080) but there's a store in Italy (European actually) that sells the WH1081 by the name of PCE FWS20 from PCE Group which claims it has a data logger, there's another Italian store not affiliated with PCE (can't find though but just saw) that sells it as well and also claims it has like 4080 lines of data with a minimum of 5 min interval.

If this is true I'm REALLY disappointed in me :D ahah I want this instead of La Crosse WS2350 with a poor and tiny 175 rows data logger and 128 sec interval :(

Hi
I do not know about a data logger, but the WH1081 I purchased in Australia has memory storage for 4000 odd lines of data. When memory fills it starts overwriting the earliest entries. The WH1081 does not have the DCF, which wouldn't be much good to us is the southern hemisphere anyway. I have only had it a few months, but happy with it except for rainfall errors. This seems to be a universal problem. When I have to replace the batteries I am going to relocate the rain gauge to a more rigid structure and move the temp gauge into an anderson shield.

All of the Fine Offset stations which work with Cumulus (1080, 1081, 1090 etc etc) have data loggers.

I realised after I posted earlier:

...it DOES have a data logger of course, sorry if this caused confusion.

I've just bought one of these weather stations from Maplins for my sister/brother-in-law for christmas. Seems to be very good value!

I bought my 1080 from Maplins for £69.99. It's been running for 2 weeks and I'm very impressed so far with it's accuracy. Much better than my WS2300.

That's great Ant -- good choice

I have had mine for 18 months and it has runs really well. I think the Cumulus software really makes it for me
