Hi, im making a Rpi station including uv, luminance, soil temp
What im after information on is what would be the best cable to use for them as they would be no longer than 10m from the Rpi unit.

any info is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Welcome to the forum. Are your sensors Analogue or Digital (e.g. I2C data bus) ?

10 metres it getting rather long for I2C (but possible). If analogue, what are the typical signal amplitudes and source impedance? How many cores do you need in each cable run (signal, power lines, earth, etc.)?

The choice might be between CAT5 (4 x twisted pairs) network cable or some form of screened coaxial cable. In either case the first criterion might be that it should be an "outdoor" (e.g. UV-resistant) grade.
