Cumulus Main Screen question

Hi Steve, I'm running Cumulus on a Samsung netbook that has a screen resolution of 1024*600. When I maximise Cumulus it looks like this. Notice how some of the descriptions are quite squashed and the barometric boxes are barely large enough. There appears to be plenty of available space width-wise. ...

A suggestion and a query about Cumulus

Hi Steve, I have one question and one query about Cumulus. First the question. Is it possible to capture and store the lowest humidity recorded and add it to the all time extremes and monthly data files? There seems little point in capturing the maximum because 100% would occur many times but knowin...

Re: Need website advice for Cumulus for absolute beginner

Thanks Steve. It would appear possible for me to copy the Cumulus folder plus sub-folders to another computer and use that for the intial setup.

Having done that I could then make the connection from the Cumulus PC to the website. That seems to fulfill my requirements, thanks.

Re: Need website advice for Cumulus for absolute beginner

Thanks for the replies. John Dann of ProData recommended one but before I commit myself to that I wanted to get more advice. Can anyone answer my question about website design please? Can most of it be done from a different computer to that running Cumulus? Are there any FAQs regarding how to setup ...

Re: Zero values in lowest minimum and pressure for year

Hi Steve,

Editing the first entry in dayfile.txt resolved the problem both for May 2009 and 2009 generally.

It's a small point but one you may want to address. On the first day Cumulus starts it doesn't store the lowest temperature or lowest pressure - hence the problem.

Thanks!

Need website advice for Cumulus for absolute beginner

Hi all, I've had my Davis VP2 since late April and have been uploading data to Weather Underground via WeatherLink. I also run Cumulus on the same netbook. Both run via VirtualVP. I have no website and would like to create one but have no idea how to get started. I'm reasonably computer-savvy but we...

Zero values in lowest minimum and pressure for year

Hi Steve, I'm a little concerned that in the weather extremes for May 2009 (when Cumulus was installed) and for 2009 when viewing Yearly data the values for lowest minimum and pressure are zero. Clearly these are not correct. I'm not too bothered about May 2009 but I am with 2009. Is it possible to ...

Re: Realtime gauges v1.0.0.2 available for download

Thanks Steve. 5-second updates should be fine. And yes, I appreciate the complication of sending different data at different times. Still felt the need to ask the question of course. ;) I have an observation on the new gauge window. When the full screen option is pressed the scroll bar is still requ...

Re: Realtime gauges v1.0.0.2 available for download

I test mine on 1 and 3 secs but then get 5 secs, seams like 5 secs is the min. Thanks. This one is for Steve. The temperatures don't need updating every 5 seconds - just the wind info. Is it possible to configure what gauges are refreshed every x seconds or does the whole lot get done? I ask becaus...

Re: Realtime gauges v1.0.0.2 available for download

Hi Steve, The new gauges are very impressive. However I notice the update period on your link is 10 seconds. As the Davis VP2 can update wind data every 2.5 secs is that update period adjustable or fixed? I still need to organise a website so I won't be using them just yet. Adjust here <interval>10...
