Realtime.txt generate/no FTP?

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to have the Realtime.txt file be enabled (say every 8 seconds), but NOT have it FTP to my website. Basically, I would like to keep my regular web files being updated and FTP'd every 10 minutes, but also have the Realtime.txt file only created local...

Re: Bad dew point readings

OK, I understnd what you're saying... I checked the diags and there is no indication of anything odd around 07:23. I'm guessing there must have been an odd humidity reading at some point between the 1 minute log entries that caused the bad dew point calculation.

Thanks anyway for checking.

Bad dew point readings

Hi Steve, Wanted to run something by you. This morning I got a bad dew point reading in my log file, as seen below, at 07:23. I suspect that this is from one of of the occasional bad temp and dew point readings I get due to interference. Now, in this case, I believe the reason why the temp reading l...

Re: Is there a way to disable the wind gust ?!

Can I upgrade my Cumulus 1.8.7 to 1.8.8 ?!
The LCMaxWind setting only works in version 1.8.8 build 874 or later. That's probably why it's not working for you.

Re: LC max wind speed setting - beta build 874

I didn't have to... As a test, I put LCMaxWind=1.8, and it appeared to be correctly ignoring anything over approximately 4mph.

That is it... works like a champ after converting to meters/second!

Thanks!

LC max wind speed setting - beta build 874

Hi Steve, I was trying out the max wind setting in the new beta, and wanted to do a quick test to see if it was working by temporarily setting it to a very low value. I put the following in my cumulus.ini in the [Station] section: LCMaxWind=4.0 However, it still seems to be pulling in speeds greater...

Re: Is there a way to disable the wind gust ?!

I've put the wind cutoff in, it will be in the next beta release, later this week.
Hi, Steve.

Just curious if you still plan on releasing a beta this week with the wind cutoff.

Thanks.

Re: Is there a way to disable the wind gust ?!

What do I have to put in the Cumulus.ini to thave this maximum wind cutoff ?! I haven't even written the code yet! :D I would definately benefit from this feature as well... About once every couple of weeks, I get the random 85 - 110mph wind reading, even with a serial connection. I've read about t...

Re: Reset rain amount

Hi Steve, I am actually using a Lacrosse, but I've been following this thread... what happens if the total rain counter on the station accidentally is reset to 0? That happened to me one time and I wanted to preserve the current day total. I tried setting the Start= in today.ini to a negative number...
