Confirmed 3016 has fixed this I believe. I've had 3 rollovers since updating to 3016 and not a single one caused duplicate entries. It was doing it at least 3 out of 4 days prior to 3016.

SD Card corruption on RaspPi is a major issue. If you're using the SD Card, get a Class10 SDHC, and get it from a well known good manufacturer.
