Re: instruments for templates

But you've got it working with only a tiny bit of extra help! :)

Re: instruments for templates

Hi Paul, It's just the one that comes with the instrument package, modified to work with Cumulus tags instead of FreeWx ones. Basically all you need to do is download the package and follow the instructions for installing it, but edit the supplied example so that the last section looks like the code...

Re: Wish list

The realtime box isn't of much use at the moment, it controls the uploading of the small text file which supplies the data for the Flash-based display that I gave you a preview of (CumulusRealtime.html at my Sanday weather site), so probably best to leave it unchecked for now.

Re: WM II

Cumulus won't currently work with a WMII, but I've been asked about this quite a lot, so I'll have a look into doing it.

To run it at the same time as Weatherlink you would have to use something like VirtualVP.

Re: Wish list

I'll look into getting the three wind gauges uploaded along with the other images.

Site problems

I'm having problems with the front end of the site at the moment, so if you're trying to download Cumulus please bear with me while I sort it out.

Edit: I think it's all working again now.

Re: Wish list

I've uploaded a new version which allows upload intervals of one minute and up. I've also decoupled the settings for the three internet uploads, so check your internet settings after upgrading as some defaults will have been applied for the new settings.

Cumulus 1.7.10 available

This version add options for APRS uploads (server and port), and makes the three internet uploads independent - you can now specify a different upload interval for web, APRS, and Weather Underground. I've also changed the interval setting so that you can specify any number of minutes rather than cho...

Re: Wish list

It wouldn't be too hard to allow this, although I wouldn't recommend too frequent an update interval unless you have a really fast ftp connection. How long does it normally take for an upload in your case (you can turn on logging and look in there, which will give you an idea from the timestamps, or...

Re: V.1.7.9 & multiple data tags

You should just be able to run the latest setup file (with Cumulus stopped) and it will overwrite the old version while leaving your data and settings intact. Note that it will also overwrite the supplied web templates, so if you've made any modifications you will lose them. You should really take a...

Re: instruments for templates

Basically, what I did was amend the section at the end of the sample template supplied with the instrument package (and as described in the "code.txt" file), to look like this: <script language="JavaScript1.2" type="text/javascript"> var tempunits = "<#tempunit>&qu...

Re: instruments for templates

I do plan to make the three wind gauges on the main screen 'uploadable' to the web, at some point. Regarding the javascript ones you've mentioned, it would just be a case of replacing the FreeWX tags with the Cumulus equivalents. Except that FreeWX has many more tags than Cumulus. I've had a play wi...

Re: instruments for templates

George,

I'm not really sure what these are? Fixed 'pictures' of the current conditions, or 'animations' that move and display the data in near real time? Could you point me at an example?

Anyone using Windows 98?

Is anyone using Cumulus on Windows 98 without crashes? If so, please could you let me know?

Thanks,

Cumulus 1.7.9 available

I've made a new version of Cumulus available. This version has support for CWOP/APRS, so those of you that were asking for this, please do give it a try and let me know what you think. At the moment, there are no options available for this feature, you simply put your ID in and it upload the data at...
