Bugger I tried another console reset and the absolute pressure is reading 000.0hpa. Was working ok before the first reset.

Re: Strange rain readings
Thanks Steve, it appears to have defaulted itself to 14min as that is what Cumulus logged as and the Easy Weather software is displaying it as. And thanks I didn't see your software, it has read it as 14min as well. I've set it to 5min as that's what it was before and seems to be the minimum support...

Re: Strange rain readings
Bugger I seem to have missed something, the barometer on relative is stuck on what I set it to, 1021.0. It's also failed to display the wind direction overnight with the PC off but with the PC on its ok at the moment. I think it's reset its recording interval back to the console default of I think 5...

Re: Strange rain readings
Ok done. I noticed the 2x AA batteries were badly leaking and one cell was pretty buggered, that might not have helped. I swapped them out and cleaned the contacts. Adjusted the relative barometer to the local area. I also noticed while the time was correct before the change on the console, the date...

Re: Strange rain readings
Sure I'll give it a shot. Anything I need to lookout for after resetting or should everything continue on ok?

Re: Strange rain readings
Thanks Steve, yes I'd tend to agree there isn't such a radio controlled thingy in Aus anyway. Can't remember the last time I reset it, most likely when the batteries needed changing which would have been one year plus ago since its running off USB power most of the day except 8 hours at night. Do yo...

Re: Strange rain readings
Not sure what you mean by radio controlled clock, it was set and forget kind of thing. I might check if its in sync.

Re: Strange rain readings
Ok it just happened again 15min ago. However its slightly different to how I originally had the issue, the rainfall counter didn't actually change at all, it just put a phantom 3.6mm rainfall so far in (as well as rail since midnight). It also did the same thing yesterday. Attached is the diags fold...

Re: Strange rain readings
Sure, does it matter when the issue happens? Would it be easier to give it to you just after the event happens?

Strange rain readings
Hi all, I have had this happening for a while (year or so). I thought it was my aging PC but after a brand new Windows 7 Pro 64bit from XP it still does it. Cumulus records rain suddenly, at random times with random amounts from a few mm to 10's of mm's. It doesn't do it when the PC is off, only whe...

Re: Battery life
A question to those with solar panels that came with the unit. I have the WA2081 and its starting to loose contact a lot (was running for 5 months in the same spot ok). We are getting into winter with not a lot of sun so I think the Alkaline 1.5V rechargeable x2 that came with it are dropping dead (...

Unit stopped receiving data when USB in
Hi all, I made the mistake of poking around at my Fine Offset and for some reason the receiver doesn't get new info from the transmitter when the USB is plugged in now, and only sometimes gets data when the USB is unplugged. Anyone seen this happen before? I reset the transmitter as well a couple of...

Re: Toolbox - ranges on rules
Well from memory just that months .txt file. Has only come up 2-3 times in a few months so no drama.
