Thanks for taking a look Steve. It was odd for sure. The rain was very heavy that day.
I think taking the batteries out of the console for a reset every few months might be a good idea.

Data flow to Cumulus slow from Fine offset.
My best guess is this is not a Cumulus problem and is outside the bounds of the USB lockup I think. My unit is over two years old. Version 1.9.3 Build 1059 Yesterday it rained hard for over an hour. Cumulus started to record the rain as it started but then it stopped getting data from the console. R...

Re: Voice addtions to Cumulus?
Good then I will write up an enhancement request then in a few days.
I would think it would be unique addition to weather station software.

Voice addtions to Cumulus?
I was going to add an Enhancement request but thought I would air it out here first. It came to me as I watched a sudden inrush of wind out the window. A bad cloud was approaching. How neat would it be to have Cumulus announce over your speakers that a parameter like the average wind speed has sudde...

Cumulus Weather Forecast
Late yesterday, Cumulus started forecasting stormy weather. Radar showed nothing. Wunderground said 20% chance. A wrote it off as just one of those things. A couple of hours later and the radar lights up with orange reds and even purples. Heavy winds followed with hit and miss thunderstorms. The for...

Re: WH1091 batteries getting low - how to replace and resume
Me too, Thanks Alan. Mine are about 18 months old Lithium batteries and of late I am loosing sensor contact about once or twice a day. Luckily, the transmitter is located just five feet above the ground. I think I am going to shut down Cumulus, unplug from the USB then put the console well within ra...

Last Bucket Tip
Thanks for putting the time of last rain tip as a mouse-over on today's rain total on main screen.
We are in a terrible drought here so this handy way to find out when the last tip occurred is really helpful.
And thanks too for the dual scales on the Select-Graph.

Re: Rainfall accuracy
In everyday home use, trace amounts is meaningless. In terms of rain needed to grow things, anything below 0.1 inches is kind of like the perdurable drop in the bucket.

Cumulus and Orchards
I thought I would post about how Cumulus and my weather station are helping me protect my home orchard. This time of the year, I worry about the weather either being too warm or too cold. I have apple trees that have started to bloom. Once in bloom the critical temperature for blooms when damage occ...

Solar Flares
Yesterday the electric power briefly went off here at the house. I got the computer backup and Cumulus back up and running and it was fine then I started getting the lost sensor contact error that lasted long enough to just about to fill the error log window. Like all Fine Offsets I get an error or ...

That worked just as you said it would. Wunderground did accept the data and is now up to date.
Thanks you so much.
