Re: Installing CMX v4
To change that - i.e. have sudo always permitted with your standard user - requires configuring sudo. That is something you may do on some lazy sunday afternoon, it is not related to running CMX. It may be the reason for the failure I am seeing in CMX. The file Comparison of MXdiags log files, etc....

Re: Installing CMX v4
I don't know who or what had ownership of the various parts. How do I find out and change them to work?

Re: Installing CMX v4
Two logfiles attached. The earlier log file was where Cumulus was run as a service, and failed. The later log file was where Cumulus was run directly. Is the problem with permissions? I was asked to enter my password when I ran the self-installer, sudo dotnet CumulusMX.dll -install -user <username>

Yes, I am starting it, both with the command and after a reboot. Using 64 bit Rasberry Pi OS on a RPi Zero 2W
Dotnet can be more easily installed on the 64 bit operating system than on the 32 bit. I therefore put the 64 bit system on the SD card and let it install. All went well. Dotnet installed with no problems, as did CumulusMX Beta. Once I found that I had to use sudo dotnet CumulusMX. dll rather than s...

Re: Installing CMX v4
When using CMX4 with dotnet why do you need to start with sudo dotnet CumulusMX.dll rather than sudo mono CumulusMX.exe ? I have got CumulusMX running using as a service using systemctl enable cumulusmx but it only runs for a few seconds and then stops. What am I doing wrong? RogerH

Re: How do I start?
Thanks for the information. The problem I had was with the First Time Setup Wizard. For most (apparently) suitable options (e.g. Ecowitt Local API) I was asked to enter something I had supposedly entered when I connected the weather station with Ecowitt Weather. There was a lot of the text and boxes...

How do I start?
I have installed Cumulus MX on a Raspberry Pi. I have started it and got as far as the First Time Setup Wizard. The Location and Units sections were self-explanatory. But then you come to the Station settings. I have an Ecowitt GW2000 and an HP3500. Which of the Ecowitt or HTTP options do I want? Wha...
