Re: File for pressure calibration settings?
I think it can't parse the file at all so it must be something to do with the way the Python library I used (configparser) writes the file. Thank you, ConligWX for the sed suggestion. I will now try a sequence where I read the values I need for my calculation, stop MX, make a copy of the config file...

Re: File for pressure calibration settings?
I'm using Python to read the .ini file and then write new values into it and save it but when Cumulus starts, it appears to delete the file and replace it with a blank one. Could that be because the line endings are wrong? Im on Ubuntu 22.04. I'm just not sure what it is about the file that Cumulus ...

File for pressure calibration settings?
I'm running a Fineoffset WS3085. When the base station crashes as it does periodically, I've set up a serial relay and a Python script which briefly interrupts the power to the base station to reset it automatically. After each reset, I need to recalibrate the pressure sensor and I can get an accura...

Re: WS3085 base station locking up
I have been working on this problem for a long time. I believe the WS3083/5 base stations are susceptible to radio interference. This may be the cause of the problem. I still get unusually high solar and UV readings even though my solar sensor is disconnected. The problem must be with the base stati...

Re: Action on Alarm - how?
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try some different permutations and see if I can get it working.
The first thing I'll try is putting the script in the CumulusMX directory although, I thought providing the full path to the script would do it.

Action on Alarm - how?
I'm running Cumulus MX 3.25.1 b3244 under Ubuntu 22.04 and I'm trying to configure an action to run on detection of a data spike. I've created a shell script which performs the actions I want and that works from the terminal. Am I able to run it from the "Action" field on the alarms page i...

Re: Solar Sensor
Yes, I've been right through the config file for rtl_433 and made settings which seem appropriate, including truncating the list of protocols to only those which either suffer interference or, at a guess, might do. At the moment, I don't think I've got the set up quite right but it will be a matter ...

Re: Solar Sensor
An update on the radio interference. I have now installed rtl_433 with an RTL-SDR dongle. This picks up the transmission from the Fine Offset sensors perfectly and so, I'm hoping it will also pick up whatever spurious signals are causing my problem. I've attempted to configure it in the Alarms secti...

Re: Solar Sensor
Thank you! Detecting the spikes in a Python script is EXACTLY what I'm doing
Pushover looks brilliant for this and has saved me a lot of time.

Re: Solar Sensor
I've read this thread with interest because I have an curious problem with my solar sensor readings. My setup is WS3083 with solar sensor and CumulusMX on Ubuntu 22.04. After many years of operation of the station, last August (2022) I started to get very frequent lock ups and at the same time, spur...

Re: v3130 Fine Offset Lost Connection Changes
I have had a similar problem using a W3083, CumulusMX 3.15.0 as a service on Linux. After a while (5 hours or so) data logging just stopped until the base station was reset. The PC I run it on is also used as a HTPC so it tends to be turned on early evening and is set to shut down automatically at 1...
