Re: LOOP: xx - Expected data not received, expected 99 bytes, got 0

I installed the 2 new cables that are shielded and contain twisted pair in them from digi-key. I am still receiving the same errors. I should note the temperature this morning was very cold around 20F (-7C) around 5 AM ET or so. It does seem that I receive a lot more of these errors when the weather...

Re: LOOP: xx - Expected data not received, expected 99 bytes, got 0

My davis transmitter is wireless. However, I have my davis consoles connected to my raspberry pi 5's with a meteo-pi that uses an rj11 telephone cable to connect the meteo-pi hat on the raspberry pi 5 to the data logger in the back of the davis console.

Re: LOOP: xx - Expected data not received, expected 99 bytes, got 0

I wondered myself if perhaps the consoles were receiving bad packets of data from the transmitter. However, I have checked the percentage of good packets from both of my consoles and they are almost always 100%. My transmitter is not that far from my consoles approximately 15 meters (~50 feet). Now ...

Re: LOOP: xx - Expected data not received, expected 99 bytes, got 0

Both of the Raspberry PI 5 are using the Official Raspberry PI 27Watt USB-C Power Supply. Both of the Davis Consoles are using the USB power supply that came with them. When I moved the davis console to the basement and used a 1 meter phone cable, I had the davis console running from batteries. It w...

Re: LOOP: xx - Expected data not received, expected 99 bytes, got 0

After several days of testing with the 1 meter cable, I did see a reduction in the number of errors on both Production and Test Systems. It seems rather odd that I would also see a reduction of errors on my production system even though the production system is still using the same cable. I am going...

Re: LOOP: xx - Expected data not received, expected 99 bytes, got 0

I am going to move my console in the kitchen to the basement next to my Raspberry PI 5. I am going to use the telephone cable that came with the Meteo-PI that is approximately one meter in length. I will leave the console next to the Pi 5 for a couple of days and see if I still get the errors. That ...

Re: LOOP: xx - Expected data not received, expected 99 bytes, got 0

AndyKF650, I had the same issue prior to replacing the battery in the transmitter. one of the forum posts I found for weewx seemed to indicate a low battery in the transmitter might cause the errors. I was not receiving any kind of low battery message on either of my consoles. I went ahead and repla...

Re: LOOP: xx - Expected data not received, expected 99 bytes, got 0

mcrossley, "I doubt it. I think it is when the meteo-pi is busy doing something else. Do you have it configured to do other things like uploads etc?" The meteo-pi can not do any kind of uploads, it can only receive data from the console. I think you might be thinking of the meteobridge? An...

Re: LOOP: xx - Expected data not received, expected 99 bytes, got 0

I am still using a Meteo-PI on each of the 2 Raspberry PI 5 I have. The meteo-pi that i am using is the one linked below. https://www.scaledinstruments.com/shop/shop-by-category/data-loggers/meteo-pi/ I did recently purchase a 3rd Meteo-PI as well, but that one produces similar errors as well. Do yo...

Re: MQTT: Error - Not connected to MQTT server - message not sent

I was able to resolve the error by changing Internet Settings > MQTT > Server Name: from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx to homeassistant.local.

Not really sure why that fixed it!

Re: MQTT: Error - Not connected to MQTT server - message not sent

I also wanted to mention I was previously using a 32 bit Raspberry PI OS on a Raspberry PI 4 B. I started with a clean install of Raspberry PI 64 Bit OS (2023-05-03-raspios-bullseye-arm64.img.xz). Since cumulusmx is now 64 bit capable. I have Mono version 6.8.0.105 (Debian 6.8.0.105+dfsg-3.3~deb11u1...

MQTT: Error - Not connected to MQTT server - message not sent

Hi, I have just upgraded from CumulusMX 3.14.1 b3160 to CumulusMX 3.25.0 b3241. My MQTT messages were working on 3.14.1 b3160. I am receiving the following error message on 3.25.0 b3241 2023-05-09 13:55:02.851 MQTT: Using template - mqtt/DataUpdateTemplate.txt 2023-05-09 13:55:02.853 MQTT: Error - N...
